Two spirited lambs sure throughout a brand new wooly work by Philadelphia-based artist Holly Guertin. Impressed by a spring go to to an area farm, Guertin felted a pair of sprightly kids with hanging element. Pink traces their ears and noses, and their adolescent our bodies are coated in tight, wavy fibers, all sculpted via a mix of moist and needle felting strategies.
Titled “The Invitation,” the mushy, fleecy work stretches roughly 4 ft on both sides. Guertin shares with Colossal that she’s within the relationship between sheep and their wool and whether or not people, like sheep, have one thing equally tangible to supply.
