Coated in vivid washes of lavender, chartreuse, and indigo, the work of Diego De La Rosa remind us of the myriad forces that shade our perceptions of actuality.

The Toronto-based artist attracts on the compounding political crises in his native Venezuela, retracing the tragic shortages of meals and medication, years-long recession, and violent protests which have characterised life for greater than a decade. In his first solo within the U.S., De La Rosa re-interprets these tragedies by means of allegorical works replete with monsters and uncanny happenings.
