Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ Prison Release Date Delayed Due to Alleged Rule Violations

Sean “Diddy” Combs, the iconic music mogul and founder of Bad Boy Records, finds himself at the center of controversy once again, this time behind bars. Recently, reports surfaced about Diddy allegedly violating prison rules by consuming homemade alcohol. This incident has not only deepened his legal woes but also postponed his anticipated release date from a 50-month sentence for serious charges related to prostitution.

As per the Federal Bureau of Prisons Inmate Search, Diddy’s release date has been adjusted from May 8, 2028, to June 4, 2028. The alteration in dates reflects the impact of the recent violations, signaling that his time in prison may be far longer than initially expected.

The incident in question involves Diddy allegedly partaking in a concoction of Fanta, sugar, and apples—ingredients that, when fermented over a couple of weeks, can transform into homemade alcohol. Reports from sources like TMZ revealed that prison officials, upon discovering the violation, contemplated transferring him to a more restrictive unit but ultimately decided against it, a decision that raises questions about the enforcement of prison regulations.

In response to these allegations, Diddy’s representatives have firmly denied any wrongdoing. According to a statement from his spokesperson, there have been “false and reckless reports” circulating about the music mogul’s behavior in prison. They emphasized Diddy’s commitment to sobriety and self-discipline, asserting that this is only his first week at FCI Fort Dix and asking for privacy as he navigates his personal challenges during incarceration.

However, the homemade alcohol incident isn’t the only concern for Combs. Reports have also emerged about him making a three-way phone call, which is another violation of prison rules. Despite the potential repercussions of losing phone privileges, a spokesperson clarified that Diddy was simply discussing his rehabilitation treatment during the call. They characterized it as an attorney-client conversation, asserting that it was appropriate and aligned with prison regulations.

Amidst the turmoil, it’s important to contextualize Combs’ situation. He was arrested in September 2024 following a federal indictment that charged him with multiple serious offenses, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. After being found guilty of violating the Mann Act, he was handed a 50-month prison sentence, which has now become fraught with complications due to recent rule violations.
