Kicking off its 11th year, the African American Film Series at the Flint Institute of Arts promises to be an engaging experience. On Saturday, Miles Market will host its Annual Holiday Market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Saginaw County’s Thomas Township. New Heart Mission Church in Saginaw is set to host its annual free community Thanksgiving lunch on Sunday after the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Located at 1802 W. Michigan Ave., everyone is welcome to enjoy a meal that includes turkey or ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry relish, cornbread stuffing, and sweet desserts like apple crisp and pumpkin pie.
