Alo announced on Saturday the appointment of Benedetta Petruzzo to the role of chief executive of its international operations.
In her new role, Petruzzo will manage the Los Angeles-based activewear brand’s global operations, focusing on client experience, market strategy, and brand identity, as well as its wellness category, according to the company.
A luxury veteran, Petruzzo joins Alo from luxury heavyweight Dior, where she served as managing director. Her rich professional background includes a significant tenure at Prada-owned Miu Miu, where she held the position of CEO. Before her roles in luxury fashion, the executive honed her skills at Kering Eyewear, taking on various leadership positions over five years, after a valuable five-year stint at consultancy firm Bain & Co.
Petruzzo’s appointment is not a mere coincidence. The brand is strategically bolstering its luxury positioning, revealing plans last year for a new flagship store in Paris, set to open in 2026 on the prestigious Champs Élysées, where it will take over the former Zara location.
