Shannon Stroud’s Leadership Background
Stroud arrives at Invest Africa with over 20 years of extensive experience in international finance, private equity, structured finance, and advisory services. Her most recent position was as Director of Milken Institute International, where she founded and led the Africa Leaders Business Council. Here, she played a pivotal role in advancing U.S.–Africa dialogue during significant global events such as the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit and the United Nations General Assembly, while also expanding networks and partnerships among global investors.
Before her tenure at the Milken Institute, Stroud served as Managing Director at the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association (EMPEA), working to create investor education programs and convene capital firms at international investment summits. Her career features senior roles at Pine Creek Partners, CapitalSource Finance, and Arthur Andersen LLP. Stroud also founded Finley Advisory, LLC, where she advised family offices, funds, and impact investors on strategies for capital introductions and fundraising.
