In a delightful turn of events, the tennis icon secretly married Italian model, actor, and film producer Andrea Preti, in September during an intimate private ceremony. The 45-year-old sports legend recently celebrated her new status with a spectacular week-long wedding extravaganza in Florida that artfully combined fashion, family, and an array of festive activities, all wrapped in Venus’s signature style.
“We had this dream to do our wedding in Italy,” she shared with Vogue. However, logistical hurdles surrounding her foreign status made an Italian ceremony impractical. Thus, they opted for a dazzling second wedding celebration at her Palm Beach home, a love letter to her Florida roots.
The multi-day celebration, meticulously planned by Jennifer Zabinski of JZ Events—who also coordinated sister Serena Williams’ 2017 wedding—was a flourish of joy and style. Kickstarting the festivities, Venus’s younger sister, Serena, hosted an elegant yacht party. This was followed by a boudoir-themed bridal shower that famously ended with a karaoke night featuring Beyoncé hits, culminating in a series of intimate dinners in Miami.
The week maintained its crescendo with an opulent rehearsal dinner and a light-hearted sports day filled with volleyball, tennis, and dodgeball, leading up to the grand Saturday ceremony, reception, and after-party—all arranged for guests to arrive on a party bus with festivities in full swing.
