One Chicago‘s finest wants to make sure everybody has a very happy holiday season—but they couldn’t quite get the photo they wanted.
In a December 18 Instagram carousel, Chicago P.D. star Marina Squerciati shared her and her co-stars’ attempts at a traditional family holiday greeting card. Like many holiday card photo shoots, this one led to some pretty hilarious moments. Squerciati was joined by LaRoyce Hawkins, Patrick John Flueger, Arienne Mandi, and Benjamin Levy Aguilar in a neighborhood in Chicago, and well, they certainly tried their best.
The group couldn’t manage to capture a single photo where at least one of them wasn’t laughing, looking away, or caught mid-blink! Something amusing must have been happening just off-camera, causing the chaos. However, the four photos are undeniably adorable, showcasing the fun our One Chicago favorites have whether on set or in their off-screen moments.
Amid the merriment, Squerciati reflected on their struggle with candid photography, humorously stating, “Family holiday cards are hard. #onegrumpygus #severalnotlookingatthecamera #ariseyesclose #couplestrangelooks #toomuchlaughing @laroycehawkins @arienne_mandi @pjflueger @benjaminlevyaguilar @barilynnaccessories @nbconechicago @wolfentertainment HAPPY EVERYTHING EVERYONE!”
For fans of the franchise, these lighthearted glimpses into the cast’s camaraderie deepen the connection viewers feel towards their favorite shows. They often spark joy and nostalgia, particularly with the upcoming holiday season serving as a backdrop for these fun interactions.
When Do All Three One Chicago Shows Return?
The One Chicago winter hiatus is still ongoing, meaning devoted fans have been without new episodes since mid-November. However, Windy City Wednesdays will return on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, bringing back all three One Chicago shows to their original airing schedule.
Here’s a brief refresher of what to expect:
Although there will be no One Chicago shows airing on Wednesday, December 24, it’s still set to be a festive evening for viewers tuning into NBC. The network will air the iconic holiday film It’s a Wonderful Life starting at 8/7c, followed by coverage of the Pope Leo-led Christmas Eve mass from St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome at 11:30/10:30c, ensuring viewers have plenty of holiday cheer to enjoy before Santa comes down the chimney.
