Porsha Williams Addresses Delta Flight Incident: “I Did Not Strike Her”

In a shocking turn of events, reality star Porsha Williams found herself at the center of a dramatic incident aboard a Delta Air Lines flight. The altercation occurred on Sunday as the plane landed in Atlanta, leading to Williams being escorted off by officers, after a controversial exchange with a 70-year-old woman seated beside her. This altercation unfolded just moments before takeoff, during a flight originating from Las Vegas.

Details surrounding the incident are beginning to emerge, especially as a video has surfaced showing law enforcement engaging with both women to gather their accounts of the exchange. In this video, Williams recounts her perspective on the confrontation, recalling the moment that sparked the disagreement.

“The lady was sitting next to me, and I was on my phone,” Williams began. “The volume was up on the phone, and she turned to me and asked, ‘So you’re gonna make me listen to that the whole flight?’” The reality star’s initial response was met with the woman’s dismissive retort, “B**ch, you don’t tell me b**ch,’” which escalated the situation.

Witnesses on the flight seemed to rally around Williams, indicating that the situation felt unjust. One woman, who was sitting nearby, expressed her concern for Williams, inquiring if she needed help. “I was there, and I heard it—it was reprehensible,” said the concerned passenger, who witnessed the altercation unfold. The woman described how the older passenger had escalated the confrontation by getting in Williams’ face and gesturing aggressively.

In the exchange, Williams defended herself by stating, “I don’t know what she’s claiming about me hitting her. I did not hit her.” However, the 70-year-old woman painted a starkly different picture, suggesting that Williams was the instigator. According to the older woman, Williams had been engrossed in her phone for approximately 25 minutes, with the volume turned up, before she confronted her about the noise. The elderly passenger expressed her discomfort, leading to the heated exchange.

The woman recounted that she felt threatened, asserting, “The next thing I know, there was a fingernail so close to my eye that I thought I was going to be physically attacked.” She further claimed that in an attempt to record the incident, Williams swatted her phone out of her hand, calling the act “assault.”

Authorities are taking the event seriously. The Atlanta FBI is reportedly looking into the situation, assessing whether any federal charges could be applicable. This level of investigation underscores the potential legal ramifications stemming from the incident. Meanwhile, Williams’ attorney, Joe Habachy, defended her, describing her as a victim of “an irate and unhinged passenger without provocation,” further complicating the narrative surrounding the altercation.
