September 19, 2025 (Verona, Italy) — Italian wine enthusiasts and industry professionals are in for a treat as Hellas Verona and Veronafiere join forces for the second edition of Vinitaly.USA. This flagship event, dedicated entirely to Italian wine, will take place from October 5–6, 2025, at Navy Pier in Chicago. After a successful inaugural event in 2024, Vinitaly.USA is poised to attract even more attention and participation.
As part of the kickoff celebrations, Hellas Verona players will don special pre-match kits featuring the Vinitaly.USA logo during their Serie A match against Juventus at the Bentegodi Stadium. This integration of sport and culture showcases how Verona’s institutions can promote Italian heritage on the global stage.
The 2025 edition will welcome around 250 exhibitors, consisting of Italy’s most esteemed wine producers along with leading regional consortia. Attendees can expect to see an impressive array of wines, ranging from classic varietals to innovative new labels that reflect Italy’s diverse winemaking traditions.
Located over more than 10,000 square meters along the scenic Lake Michigan, Vinitaly.USA offers a vibrant platform for international promotion of Italian wine. The event not only connects producers with buyers and importers but also attracts distributors and trade professionals from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and other Latin American countries, making it an invaluable networking opportunity.
Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, emphasizes the significance of this collaboration, stating, “This initiative shows how Verona can unite its leading institutions, its football club and its international trade fair, to reach beyond borders.” With American ownership of Hellas Verona and the event’s relocation to Chicago, this partnership amplifies Verona’s voice in the U.S. market, leveraging sports and wine as cultural ambassadors.
Italo Zanzi, Executive President of Hellas Verona, echoed these sentiments, expressing excitement about the partnership: “This collaboration gives visibility to an event that celebrates the very best of Italian excellence.” The aim is to promote not just Verona’s wines but also its culture, industry, and entrepreneurial spirit, both domestically and internationally.
