Wolflick revealed that she has long envisioned incorporating social media voting, noting that other major entertainment shows have yet to adopt this strategy. “If we can get Gen Alpha and Gen Z to weigh in a little bit more in the easiest way possible, that’s very exciting,” she remarked, highlighting the potential for this change to make a significant impact on audience demographics.

The second notable alteration concerns a long-standing feature of the competition: Hollywood Week. Traditionally following the audition rounds, Hollywood Week is being replaced by an innovative concept—the Nashville auditions. Wolflick expressed a sense of excitement about the uncertainty of the new format. “We don’t know [how it’s going to go] until we do it. I love that there’s something exciting about it,” she explained. Even if the results may not meet expectations, there is an adrenaline rush in trying something new. Fortunately, she noted that the change was positively received during testing.

Introducing the Ohana Round

While Hollywood Week will be no more, it’s being replaced by the Ohana Round, which promises to bring a fresh dynamic to the competition. Filmed in Hawai’i at the Disney-owned Aulani resort, this new segment will span three episodes and aims to create a different atmosphere for the contestants.

Hollywood Week has often been described as a “fish out of water” experience, overwhelming many contestants with its scale and pressure. On the other hand, the Ohana Round is expected to provide a more relaxed yet still challenging environment.
